Welcome

to St. Joseph

Since 1898 St. Joseph Catholic Community has been an enduring sign and symbol of the Catholic Church in Florence, Alabama. Catholic Hill is known throughout the community as a sign of faith. We live in a world filled with uncertainty that often leads to fear, but St. Joseph continues to flourish and grow. Through our many ministries we reach out to those in need in the Florence area.

Our focus
At St. Joseph Catholic Church
Mission Focused

"Our mission is to nurture the spiritual growth of our parishioners, serve those in need within our community, and share the love of Christ to bring others closer to Him. As a beacon of faith, hope, and love, we extend Christ-centered outreach to the students at UNA, St. Joseph Regional Catholic School, and broader community. Committed to discipleship and compassionate service, we strive to all live as faithful witnesses of the Gospel in every aspect of life."

Stewardship

"Empowered by faith and guided by gratitude, we embrace our call as stewards of God’s blessings. With a commitment to sharing our time, talents, and treasures, we seek to care for creation, serve those in need, and strengthen our community. Together, we dedicate ourselves to advancing God’s kingdom, fostering discipleship, and inspiring generosity in all we do."

Enrichment

"Through the gift of music, we strive to enrich our liturgical celebrations, inspiring deeper connection with God and fostering a spirit of worship within our community. Guided by faith and a commitment to excellence, we seek to uplift hearts and minds, uniting all in praise and bringing the beauty of God’s word to life through song."

Prayer Ministry

"Rooted in God’s Word and guided by the Holy Spirit, our Bible studies and prayer groups provide a space for spiritual growth, fellowship, and transformation. Through shared scripture, prayer, and reflection, we seek to deepen our relationship with Christ, strengthen our faith community, and encourage disciples to live out the Gospel in daily life."
